Hand Painted Screens

No..your eyes aren't deceiving you.  We do paint screens.  This is a Historical art that originated in Baltimore.  Only visible from one side, the painting provided privacy from pedestrians during the day , but still allowed the air to flow into and cool the house.  And...believe it or not...at night, with the lights shining through it, the painting disappears!  It's MAGIC!!  Today we use this as a decorative flair in casual settings like Three Season Rooms, Patio Doors, etc.

This is the newest of the screen sensations here, and this time 'How-to's' are available.  Click here if you'd like to learn how to paint like this.  Full lessons are written, and demoed in videos on a CD.

These CD's require a Windows Operating System.  Sorry, not available for Mac computers.

A new flair to an old reliable!

Nobody could get used to this screen being in the door, and walked through it several times.  And so...the solution...was to paint it!  No one has walked through it since, and it adds a delightful charm that extends 'beyond' the room.
